Management ProfilesThe local ServiceMaster franchise began doing business in Santa Barbara in 1963. The pioneering young men who started ServiceMaster were dedicated to providing excellent customer service and guaranteed quality service. Our owner, Rod Caughell took over sole ownership in 1991 and then in 1995, Pete Miko became a co–owner and together they have developed ServiceMaster Anytime into a continually growing business that serves all of Santa Barbara county and San Luis Obispo county. Rod Caughell, OwnerRod Caughell: Rod continued on alone growing the business through 1994. Near the end of 1994, Rod met and developed a strong friendship with a young contractor/manager with a background in insurance claims adjusting, Pete Miko. The two joined up in 1995 and formed Caughell Enterprises in 1995. Rod has turned the day-to-day operations over to Pete and their management team. Pete is thoroughly versed on all aspects of the operations as he was primarily focused on systems management when Rod was involved full time. Both Rod and Pete remain committed to doing things right and their company has that commitment within its culture. Revenues have continued to be strong and their company remains financially fit with good, conservative cash management. Rod went to local schools and began developing a sales oriented career early on with a job selling and delivering bottled water. Rod lives in Santa Ynez with his wife Susan and their 4 children; Alison, Chad, Heather and Melissa.
Santos Leon, General ManagerSantos Leon grew up in Texas. Santos graduated from the UCSB with a BA in Sociology. Bilingual, Santos has a background in sales management within the telecommunications industry. He was the lead administrator for a local personnel and temporary employment agency for the two years prior to joining us six years ago. Because of his extensive knowledge in emergency services, Santos was recently promoted to General Manager. He oversees all service departments, assures our quality work and customer service.
Kevin Smith, Restoration Project DeveloperKevin Smith has been with ServiceMaster Anytime since 2008. Kevin grew up in the Los Angeles area and went to schools in the Santa Ynez Valley. He is a licensed painting contractor and came aboard when we purchased his business. Kevin has 10 years of experience in painting, estimating and managing a business. He our restoration project developer for fire and water damage mitigation/emergency services business, as well as construction services in San Luis Obispo County. Kevin and his wife, Renee, live in the Santa Ynez Valley.
Steve Swiacki, Restoration Project DeveloperSteve Swiacki has worked for ServiceMaster Anytime for six years. He started as the Residential Manager and added the Mold Remediation department 3 years ago. Steve's background prior to ServiceMaster was in sales management in the high tech industry. He worked as a Sales Administrator for Technics. While at Applied Magnetics, Steve was a field sales engineer, a program manager and worked also in marketing. At Pactuco, he was a field sales manager and at Mag Data he was a program manager. Steve lives in Santa Ynez with his wife, Heidi and two children.
Bob Phinney, AdministratorBob Phinney has lived in Santa Barbara for 45 years. He has a BA from UCSB and an MBA from Pepperdine University. He has an extensive background in leadership, management, teaching and consulting with small businesses. Bob and his wife, Nancy, have three grown sons.
Justin Haagen, Disaster Preparedness & Marketing MangerJustin Haagen has been working in the Disaster Restoration industry for seven years and has three years of experience in Disaster Preparedness. She has been in business service, sales and management for 25 years, holding positions in banking, retail management, and property inspection for insurance. Justin earned a Bachelor of Social Work from Marywood College in Pennsylvania. Justin is involved in the community and currently volunteers at the American Red Cross. She is a member of Santa Barbara C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team, a lay emergency responder team.) Justin is also a Department of Homeland Security Disaster Preparedness trainer and conducts business and individual disaster preparedness workshops. She holds an OSHA 24 Hour Hazardous and Safety certificate. Justin teaches CPR/AED/First Aid along with a variety of safety classes with certifications from both the American Safety & Health Institute and the American Red Cross. Through the Red Cross, she has been on the Long Term Recovery Committee (LTRC) since the Tea fire claimed over 200 houses in November of 2008. The goal of the LTRC is to assist to restore material assets to the level of each client before the fire, or satisfy many of their unmet needs. To date the committee has allocated over $150,000 to the Santa Barbara community.
Randy Berry, Construction ManagerRandy Berry joined ServiceMaster Anytime in 2009 as our construction manager for northern Santa Barbara County and all of San Luis Obispo County. Randy has 19 years of disaster restoration, construction, estimating and large loss project management. Prior to entering the Disaster restoration industry, he worked as a dry wall specialist and finished carpenter. Randy brings detailed management to every job and personal accountability to every clients needs.Randy and his wife, Laura are central coast natives and live in Arroyo Grande with their 10 year old daughter.
Anthony Bushey, Construction ManagerAnthony Bushey is our Construction Manager and has been with us for over 8 years. Prior to joining ServiceMaster Anytime, Anthony worked as a carpenter and handy man in the Santa Barbara community for 10 years. Anthony really knows how to take care of his customers and the projects that he oversees. A recent client was quoted as having this to say about Anthony, "He was remarkable in that he kept in touch on every phase of the work. If he said he would call, he did. If he said someone would be coming out to repair something, he made sure that they did exactly what was required and on time. He checked on every single repair and he did it thoroughly and in a timely manner." Anthony and his wife Elena live in Santa Barbara and have two boys and one girl. Anthony is a professional skate boarder in his spare time.
Deborah Lamberton, Project Manger for ServiceMaster AnytimeMy area of service is basically Water Damage Restoration, Fire Damage and Trauma Clean Up for the Santa Barbara, Goleta, Montecito, Summerland and Carpenteria area's, but I can help you with anything you may need. I am a veteran of the Armed Services. I served as a Navy Seabee and have 20 years of construction background under my belt. I now reside in Lompoc with my husband and three beautiful boys.
Holly Fukui, Emergency Services Project ManagerHolly Fukui is the Project Manager for our Contents & Pack Out department of ServiceMaster Anytime. Whether you have fallen victim due to a fire or a water disaster on the3 central coast, it is Holly who will be on the job and responsible to ensure that your personal property is handled with the utmost care. From packing up the affected areas of your home or business, to the cleaning process, repacking, storage and finally returning your personal property, rest assured that Holly is committed to providing the best service possible no matter what situation it is that you have encountered. Holly is from Northern CA, just north of Sacramento. After I graduated from Golden Sierra High School and spending several years in San Diego, Holly moved to Santa Barbara in 1995 and was employed with a local resort from September 1995 to September 2008. She is the youngest of 5 children and has a total of 11 nieces and nephews. Holly enjoys listening to music, reconnecting with old friends, and bowling. |
